This episode is the first in our health series and we go deep into letting food be thy medicine! We cover the basics of what it means to eat healthy and why we’re experiencing a health epidemic around the world. Over the course of history, our modern approach to treating illness has changed dramatically. Today we all receive little if any training in nutrition and have created a system revolving around “A Pill for every Ill” so this video works to create a change here to bring us back to the fundamental idea of letting food be thy medicine.

When looking at what makes up the standard american diet, the largest portion comes from processed food. Next is animal products, and finally fruits and vegetables. Despite this, there are more and more studies are coming out which show the correlation between different diseases and animal products. This is largely because of the way the animals are treated, as they are pumped with antibiotics, fed things they are not supposed to naturally eat, and essentially tortured to death in factory farms.

The china study is one of the most thorough studies showing the link between the food we eat and different forms of cancer and other diseases. 650,000 researchers cataloged the mortality patterns caused by different forms of cancer between 1973 and 1975. It included all the different regions within china, and over 880 million people.

The result of this study was called the cancer atlas, showing different clusters of cancer which related to the environment of the people and the foods that they ate. Very simply, what was discovered that the moment animal products are introduced into a diet, blood pressure goes up and different diseases begin to manifest.

The amazing revelations continue however, when we find that all of these studies demonstrate that we can inherently and fundamentally heal our diseases by shifting to a natural, whole foods plant based diet.

It’s time we take our health into our own hands, because it’s clear our healthcare system puts profit over health, and this model is killing us every day!

    So I was reading Wheat Belly and it referenced this critique of the China Study which I found fascinating that if you take Wheat out and separated it from the meat, the data shows that eating meat (not that I recommend eating factory farmed anything) is protective. https://deniseminger.com/2010/07/07/the-china-study-fact-or-fallac/. I also interviewed Weston A. Price president Sally Fallon and she mentioned that they can’t recommend a vegetarian diet until there have been 5 generations of fertile humans to prove it’s safety. Pam Killeen who I also interviewed, author of Survival of the Unfittest, said she is seeing record numbers of young infertile people, who of course are eating crappy food. Thanks for doing what you do. As a medical doctor and spiritual healer, wish I had the video animation skills you do because it breaks my heart to see so many indigo children who aren’t taught how to clear their energy field and an animated series would really resonate with them and teach them.
