Astral Projection, commonly called “Out of Body Experiences” or “OBE” for short, is the process of consciously leaving your physical body to consciously explore different dimensions other than the physical. Astral projection is something we can all do, even if it seems bizarre or impossible to those who have never heard of such a concept.

That’s right! You can practice it right now with determination, practice and patience. The previous episode talked about the importance of mediation, and that practice is fundamental  in learning to to astral project easily.

In order to enter into an astral state, you must be able to relax your body and quiet your mind, for your consciousness to begin tuning itself to a different dimension. Once you are detached physically, you will feel a sense of openness or freedom and allowing your thoughts to guide your spirit wherever it wants to go.

Astral projection often is compared with Lucid Dreaming, and both are very similar in nature. Lucid Dreaming is entering into an astral state from an already-sleeping state of being, where Astral Projection is entering into the same state directly from your waking consciousness.

For many people, it can be a very intense experience, and the first time may even scare those who aren’t ready, or are otherwise unsure of what’s happening. Nevertheless, the experience is often described very similarly by many people – ort of like popping out of your body at first. Many people report floating above their sleeping body, seeing their room in the most amazing beautiful and iridescent light.

Those who have tried it have found that upon taking the experience further, they can travel anywhere in the universe simply with the intent to do so, and explore the astral dimension. This is seen as a collective plane of thought-form consciousness where many different beings live and visit, but scientifically is still not acknowledged or understood.

Traditionally, the Astral Plane is seen as existing within the greater mental plane, so there could be many trickster spirits that don’t exist solely from the heart residing here. It can be a confusing place, so learning about it first can help navigate your first experiences there.

To begin your journey into astral projection, the biggest asset you have is your will to do so. If you practice meditation regularly, and ask your higher self for an astral experience, you may just find yourself out of body sooner than you think.

Hi guys! So I have had a few of these experiences.. i read about it in a book called “the true meaning of Christianity” and it recommended to practice everyday saying to myself “am I awake or am i asleep?” and then jump with the intention of flying.. if you dont fly obviously you are awake, if you do, you know you are dreaming and now you are conscious. After a week!!! of doing this, it worked and i got so excited i almost woke up… in fact i found it hard to stay awake in the dream. I would often get distracted by these beings, who would create drama and try and get me to have sex with me (bit strange… but there you go). One time i woke in my dream, i flew through my ceiling, only to find myself in the same room, and then i kept doing this about 7 times… i counted because all the time i was afraid i would get stuck in the wrong “room” as they looked exactly the same and I didn’t want to loose my body… so that time, i just flew back into my body, woke up physically, turned the light on and stayed awake for a long time lol. You said there is a cord… i have never seen this cord! Another time I wanted to see my sister who lives about an hour drive from me. I went to her house, saw her eating at the table with my cousin… and then these fairies/beings tried to distract me again and I got “lost” in the dream, no longer awake. I called my sister the next day and she said that at that time she and everyone in the house was asleep, so I concluded that it wasn’t “astral travel” … just a conscious dream. I have stopped doing this, for two reasons 1. I am afraid of those beings, 2. I lost interest in my physical life because going to space, doing magical things and flying are more preferable to living here (and now i have a child, i want to stay very physical) and 3. Sometimes i am afraid i will get lost and wont be able to find my body. This is a very unique commenting space… as i literally do not know who else i could share this with that will a. have advice/helpful comments and b. not think im crazy ;p So much love, thanks for existing xoxo

Thank you for sharing Julia, when we step outside of ourselves we can encounter all forms of beings, some being helpful, others not so much. Practice grounding yourself and calling in the highest degree of divine light (just by thinking about it and speaking to it) this will protect you and ensure that only beings who are aligned with the light can enter your presence, we would recommend doing this prior to astral travel, and again as soon as you are conscious in the astral realm. The beings you encounter, even if they are friendly and loving, can still be so overwhelming by how far beyond us they are, and can cause feelings of fear or shame, but you can always ask them what their intentions are and what the lesson for you in this experience, and trust your feelings as you observe their reply, chances are they are there for your benefit. Also sometimes when we enter the astral realm, the aspect of time becomes just as malleable as anything else, so when visiting your sister, you may have been looking at an event in the future, in the past, or in another parallel dimension, so we wouldn’t be as quick to write the experience off as just a conscious dream. Instead ask yourself what that experience caused you to feel and look at your own soul progression and try to observe how the experience could be helping you grow. Also while many people see the cord, many do not, so just trust your heart and do whatever you feel is best! Peace and Love!

What I struggle about the topic of Reincarnation is it seems to legitimize the caste system and treating a fellow human being as below or above you by virtue of the caste they were born into, and rationalizing that they must have done something right in a previous life. Any comments on this?

Also, if you do your Law of Attraction/Visualization in the astral realm while astral projecting, does that help at all to manifest these intentions in the physical realm? For example, while astral projecting or lucid dreaming, you visualize your dream home or perfect health, is that useful at all in the physical realm? Or useless, because it only manifests in the astral realm and has no effect whatsoever in the physical realm? If so, only visualization in the physical realm affects the energy to manifest in the physical realm. Appreciate your comments.

      Hello Rico!

To our knowledge it’s about vibrational momentum and what is best for one’s soul. So one’s placement is still each soul’s choice but the soul will always choose what is best for growth even if it knows that the human experience will involve suffering. For when we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change!

It can be useful in the sense it will help you feel you have accomplished your goal, with that strong feeling/vibration what you are manifesting is more likely to come to you. So long as you don’t notice the absences of it, for in noticing the absence of it you will push it further away. In appreciation for already having it, you bring it closer!

      Hope that helps!

Is it possible to do astral projection without knowing how to meditate? If so , how? I want to get to know more about the subject and how to do it. Is it dangerous for a teenager to do it?

Astral Projection is a meditation 🙂 Before you take the journey outside yourself, we may recommend taking time on a regular basis to look inwards, starting with each chakra, look at yourself from the inside and see if your energy centers are blocked or need additional work. Once you have identified any actions you need to take to heal yourself and have brought these things into your reality, you can easily step beyond yourself and do so safely without taking on any extra energies.

I used to do this a lot when I was younger, the lucid dreaming version, I read about it and taught myself how to do it. I had several triggers that worked to “wake” me while asleep consistently. I was very into almost everything in these videos. One day I had an experience in an airport, while wide awake, where I started seeing a purple line going from my head to the head of everyone else in there, there was a lot of people. That’s when things started going bad form me, eventually I abandoned everything, rejected all of it. And for many years I’ve only let myself look at the world in it’s most basic physical form, through the brilliance of science, until very recently. There was this one piece missing and I found it, not in a spiritual way, just a piece of information that’s probably common knowledge to most, that made me think about something. And when I thought about this, it was like the last part of who I was died. But it wasn’t like before when I had lost a piece, or abandoned one, it was much more emotionally painful. So painful I physically reacted without control, not with tears like you’d expect, but with a primal scream of pure rage coming from a place in me I didn’t know existed. After there was only peace and clarity. I feel like a child now who gets to explore it all from the very beginning, like the world is brand new. Where there was worry there is peace, where there was confusion there is clarity, where there was sadness there is joy, and where there was death there is life. So now I’m here, back to what I had imagined to be a teenage fantasy an overzealous boy took too far. I can’t wait to see where it will go this time around.

Does Patch or the team read this comments? Ive stumbled across something Im SURE will be interesting to them. Well, actually, to anyone interested in this channel. Which is the best way to get in touch with the guys behind Spirit Science? The subject itself takes time to be developed fully, but all I ask for is five minutes This is not for me, or even for them. Its a way of, lets say meditating, more powerful than anything ive ever come across or heard about, including this channel. I really wish I had a better way to get this across, but even worse than not knowing something is having incomplete or superficial knowledge. You guys have been of inmense help to me lately. Always thought chakras and astral projection were illusions for gullible people, so when, experimenting with the possibilieties of Vipassana meditation, this balls of pure emotion started cropping up, I was disoriented, doubtful, excited and more than a little bit scared. Out of all resources, this channel, and Lifting the veil were the most helpful. Now I would love to return the favor.

It was a beautiful explanation. As I’m a beginner in this I would like to ask you if there are any unpleasant experiences or possible dangers in doing this, as you mentioned that the place of exploration is the lower plane?

Well there are dangers in crossing the road, or even walking in a park just as there are benefits to getting out and going places so the best advise we can offer is that your light and the love that exists within you can shine brighter than anything that might try to scare you! So when you start meditating and before you project anywhere, remember to get strongly connected with your inner light so you can take it with you on your travels!

Hey i was wondering if you had any tips for me. First off i wanna say i love your information and please keep on! I think you are definitely helping the gear of earth turn into making heaven on earth posible! Anyway iv been trying to astral project for years now. To be exact iv been trying for about 4 years. Recently i stopped believing that i could actually do it till about 2 months ago i had my first out of body experience if i can even call it that. I had a dream that i was in a matrixy type movie and these guys picked me up in a van and sat me in this chair. I was confused at first but then i looked at them in the eyes and everything seemed so clear. I relaxed and closed my eyes and all of a sudden i felt intense vibrations all over my body (which i think knocked me out of my dream state) and all i felt was the most blissful peace iv ever felt. I tried to open my eyes and i saw a red and blue sphere then i woke up. I was unsure if that was all a dream or what until i had a similar experience a couple nights ago. Every night at around 1 am i wake up for some reason. So i take this time to meditate back to sleep i guess you could say. I pictured the merkeba and its spinning and counter spinning nature in my mind and became very relaxed. And before i knew it i felt these intense vibrations again and it felt as if i could float out of my numbed body if i tried and that night i did try and i knew that i was in this vibration state known to be common before astral projecting. But to no avail i woke up and lost it all again. I feel im so close but yet so far away and i have no idea what im missing. Do you have any recommendations? >-<

When doing the merkaba meditation as described in the flower of life books, the breath and the intention in your heart are the two most important keys in making the meditation successful. Keep your awareness on deep breathing and refine your breath so you can really feel its subtle energies. Then hold a space of love and compassion in your heart, expanding this love throughout your field! From this space you will be able to move your perception from your body with greater ease, happy travels!
